Day 15, halfway through the 30 day challenge. Today was fusion (core) with Erin. It was cold outside but it was warm in the studio. I managed to arrive quite early so I had some time to find more from Light on Yoga to share today.
The cover of my notebook says, “Have the courage to make mistakes.” Ma Nithya Chandikananda said this yesterday in her Meditation class. She was talking about the fear of make mistakes being the biggest mistake. As human beings we will all make many mistakes, but these are only learning experiences and nothing to feel shame or embarrassment about. When our ego gets in the way and we don’t want others to see that we have failed, that’s when we become afraid of trying new things and become stuck in a pattern.
You have to be willing to make mistakes to progress with anything because if you stay in your safe zone, you will trap yourself in your current experience.
Above all treasure love, moderation, and humility. Love begets courage, moderation creates abundance, and humility generates power. Courage without love is brutish. Abundance without moderation leads to over-indulgence and decay. Power without humility breeds arrogance and tyranny. – Light on Yoga
